DOH has provided a measles catch-up vaccination campaign to about
two million Filipino children infected with measles. In September 2014, vaccination
against measles was conducted nationwide, targeting 13 million Filipino
children in order to achieve the goal of a measles-free nation by 2017.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advised travellers to the Philippines to get vaccinated against measles. It is also recommended to get one dosage of measles vaccine for infants aged between 6 to 11 months and two doses of measles vaccine for children aged 12 months or older.
