After the Philippines experienced the deadly Typhoon Haiyan in November 2013, many people moved out of the affected areas to Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. This triggered large measles outbreak in January and February 2014 since most people infected with measles were unvaccinated. The Department of Health (DOH) has declared measles outbreak in at least nine cities in Manila.
